B+W Filters
Comprehensive know-how and state-of-the-art production technology have made a name for the proverbial B+W filter quality of Schneider-Kreuznach throughout the world. B+W filters also perform creative tasks in digital photography. Improving photographic results without touching the data record can only be done with first-class filters. The name B+W guarantees perfect image quality.

B+W 007 Clear Filter
The 007 Clear filter acts as the ultimate lens protector. Its sole purpose is to keep dirt, sand, and moisture off the front lens element. Due to hydrophobic coating the adhesion tendency of dirt particles and water droplets is reduced. The advantages are: extremely easy cleaning and maximum reduction of reflections.

B+W 010 UV Haze Filter
The classic amongst the B+W protection filters blocks the annoying UV component of daylight. Invisible UV light is more intense in pure sea air and in high mountain regions and can cause blurring and a blueish cast.

B+W HTC High Transmission Circular Polarizer Käsemann MRC
For this high-end polarizing filter the foil pieces are selected individually for maximum color neutrality. Following cementing between high-grade optical glass, additional grinding and polishing takes place. This guarantees outstanding sharpness even with very bright, apochromatic lenses. The new generation of Käsemann High Transmission (HTC) polarizing filters is fitted with a new polarizing foil, which has higher translucency (transmission), yet still provides outstanding effectiveness. The filter extension factor is only 2 to 3, equivalent to approx. 1 to 1.5 f-stops.

B+W S03 Circular Polarizing Filter
B+W standard circular polarizing filters are equally suitable for both analog and digital cameras. The filter is of high optical quality and designed for all cameras, with or without internal measuring devices.

101 ND 0.3
The lightest B+W ND filter attenuates the light by one f-stop. This may be necessary, for example, to correctly expose high-sensitivity films when the brightness of the subject is still too great even after using the fastest shutter speed and smallest aperture allowable. It is ideal as a fine tuning ND filter.

102 ND 0.6
This B+W ND filter, which reduces the light by two f-stops, already shows a clear effect on your photographs such as requiring f/4 instead of f/8 for selective focus or 1/15 sec instead of 1/60 sec for a long exposure effect.

103 ND 0.9
This B+W ND filter reduces the light by three f-stops and is particularly interesting for video when no suitable aperture can be selected in bright light or when a specific, small DOF is required. With this filter, distinct flow of water effect becomes apparent.

106 ND 1.8
This B+W ND filter, which reduces light entering the camera by six f-stops, already qualifies as an extreme filter. With this filter, and without changing the aperture (and DOF), an exposure time of 1/60 s becomes a full second. Running water is rendered hazy and soft. A tripod is necessary in any case.

110 ND 3.0
With a light reduction of ten f-stops, this ND filter delivers a further intensification compared with the B+W ND 106. Running water virtually transforms into mist. People walking on streets become blurred and indistinct or even invisible.

ND Vario
Thanks to its variable density, the first B+W Vario ND filter can be adjusted exactly to meet individual requirements. To this end, it comes with a continuous setting function with which the photographer can determine the required density reduction between +1 and +5 f-stops. Sometimes large apertures are needed in bright ambient light in order to separate a model optically from the background. Using several minutes of exposure time, architectural photographers can make people passing through the work space “invisible”.

ND Graduated Filters
B+W graduated neutral density filters are often used in landscape photography in order to avoid an overexposure of the sky with a correct exposure of the ground. The filters are colored neutral gray on one half with a smooth transition into the neutral clear filter half. With threaded filters the rotatable mount allows an exact horizontal alignment. A B+W graduated ND filter is mainly used to compensate for a sky that is too bright compared to the dark foreground.

B+W 022 Yellow 495
B+W offers four different types of filters for the black and white photography. Starting with the 022 Yellow 495, the 040 Orange 550 for mainly landscape photos, dramatic effects and extreme posterization can be created with the 090 Light Red 590 up to the 091 Red 630.

B+W 091 Dark Red 630

B+W 092 Infrared 695
Digital cameras are normally equipped with a permanent IR-cut filter in front of the image sensor, but the residual IR that is still transmitted can be used for typical infrared photos. The B+W 092 infrared filter 695 and the B+W 093 infrared filter 630 utilize exactly this gap when visible light is blocked. The result is creative infrared photos with an amazing "Wood effect" (white leaves) and the typical dark sky.

B+W 093 Infrared 830
Digital cameras are normally equipped with a permanent IR-cut filter in front of the image sensor, but the residual IR that is still transmitted can be used for typical infrared photos. The B+W 092 infrared filter 695 and the B+W 093 infrared filter 630 utilize exactly this gap when visible light is blocked. The result is creative infrared photos with an amazing "Wood effect" (white leaves) and the typical dark sky.

B+W NL-1
With +1 diopter, this close-up lens is ideal for telephoto and zoom lenses with a close-up setting down to around 1 meter. Ideal in the 35 mm format for lenses between 85 mm (to about 1 : 5) and 200 mm focal length (to approx.1 : 3), and for popular standard zoom lenses. For the 50 mm standard lens, the rule is: go straight for the close-up lens +2!

B+W NL-2
For all lens settings, the B+W +2 diopter close-up lens focuses at a distance of 0.5 m, so for 50 mm lenses there is seamless expansion providing an extended close-up range to approx. 1 : 4.5. For telephoto lenses up to 135 mm, the range of the NL 1 is continued seamlessly (at 85 mm to approx. 1 : 3.5, at 100 mm to approx. 1 : 3.2, and at 135 mm to approx. 1 : 2.5).

B+W NL-3
With a +3 diopter, the close-up setting of this lens starts at 33 cm from the front edge regardless of the focal length. Ideal for seamless continuation of the normal close-up range.

B+W NL-4
The B+W +4 diopter close-up lens is the right power for additional close-up range with the 50 mm lens (up to approx. 1 : 3) when the B+W +2 close-up lens has reached its limit. This is the maximum power for telephoto lenses with focal lengths of 85 mm (to approx. 1 : 2.1) and 100 mm (to approx. 1 : 1.9), but you should stop down to at least f/8.

B+W NL-5
With the B+W +5 diopter close-up lens, you have reached the most powerful in the B+W close-up lens range. The B+W +5 close-up lens provides seamless continuation from the NL 3 with a 35 mm lens (up to approx. 1 : 3.5). Anyone with a 50 mm lens who can accept a small gap (approx. 1 : 4.4 to 1 : 4) after the NL 2 can continue a bit further into the macro range (up to approx. 1 : 2.6) by using the NL 5 instead of the NL 4.

B+W NL-10 Macro
The +10 diopter of this B+W macro lens goes well beyond the normal range for close-up lenses. You can access the real macro range without an expensive specialized lens and reproduce the very small as huge (approx. 1 : 2 to 1 : 1.5). An aperture of f/8 or f/11 is recommended for good sharpness especially into the corners. It is also ideally suited for digital cameras because of its high power.

B+W 415 UV Cut

In conjunction with appropriately sensitized film, these filters make it possible to gain insights into otherwise hidden worlds. In contrast, other B+W special filters prevent this radiation from passing through the lens to reach the sensor because in certain situations it causes problems and can distort the impression that the image creates.

B+W 486 UV/IR Cut
Some B+W filters transmit invisible ultraviolet or infrared light but block or severely restrict the visible spectrum. In conjunction with appropriately sensitized film, these filters make it possible to gain insights into otherwise hidden worlds. In contrast, other B+W special filters prevent this radiation from passing through the lens to reach the sensor because in certain situations it causes problems and can distort the impression that the image creates.

B+W 403 UV Passing
Some B+W filters transmit invisible ultraviolet or infrared light but block or severely restrict the visible spectrum. In conjunction with appropriately sensitized film, these filters make it possible to gain insights into otherwise hidden worlds. In contrast, other B+W special filters prevent this radiation from passing through the lens to reach the sensor because in certain situations it causes problems and can distort the impression that the image creates.
